Well done and thanks for sharing! The magneto cover repair is a cunning work of genius in and of itself what is the grey "paste" you used? Some temperature resistant sealant? Did it hold on well even if it wasn't structurally supported all the way over the hole?

Hi Karma,

I will reply in English as technical descriptions in Italian would be hard for me.

I used JB Weld, I have been carrying it for two years in my tool kit, it is easy to use and sets really hard. Under the sealant is a large washer and a 1 cent coin to cover most of the hole.

I rode home over 1,050 kms to England and it is still fine, there are no oil leaks.

risponderò in inglese percche le discussionitecniche in italiano per me sarebbero complicate.
Ho usato J.B. Weld,lo avevo con me da oltre due anni nel mio kit attrezzi,è facile da usare e diventa parecchio forte. Sotto il collante c'è una grossa rondella e una moneta da 1 cent per coprire gran parte del buco.
Ho guidato fino a casa in Inghilterra per 1050 km ed è ancora perfetto,non c'è alcuna perdita.



Confermo le doti di J.B. weld,l'ho acquistato anche io tempo fa ed è un ottimo prodotto.
o ricostruito parte di un coperchio temostato di un suzuki df40 (motore marino) che perdeva acqua perchè corroso dalla salsedine , in attesa del ricambio originale.
Il ricambio è arrivato e lo conservo,il coperchio riparato continua a fare il suo lavoro da due anni ed è perfetto.

In Italia è facilmente reperibile l'acciaio liquido della pattex (col quale ho riparato diversi carter di moto),a naso però il JB Weld sembra di consistenza migliore una volta che ha catalizzato.
