Big Brother

Ciao,

yesterday I bought a big brother of my DR350, here is my DR650SE   

Good idea man!

I saw on Advrider that dr650 is really a popular bike in all the world,but non here in Italy.
I think It's a really good bike and watching your picture I really love the alluminim side panel!

Please give us other pictures  

It's stunning! As Vittorio said, there aren't many around here, and definitely not as good looking as this one. Very nice, compliments! You ought to give us a few riding impressions once you have done a few miles with it

Yes, it's the same here. The DR650SE was only available from 1996-1999 so they are hard to find and I have been waiting for a while, there are lots of them in France.

I have this photo of big brother and little sister from yesterday but I will go out for a ride soon to get some better photos. Thanks for writing in English, I can speak a little Italian but I cannot write

Today in North Wales...........

Nice bike Bob, congratulations for it!. Here in Argentina (Patagonia) there are some of them two, it's a really nice bike.. It has an american concept I should say. Suzuki made it to battle with the Honda XR650 L.. And still today rocks and both of them are still in production. Complimenti!

I have been preparing my DR650 to make it better for long distance travel, next year I want to use it to go to Spain or Italy.

First I needed to check the screws on the neutral sender as these can come loose, you have to take the clutch out first so you can get to it...




then I checked and greased the steering head bearings..



fitted some new heated grips, I am not an electrical genius as you can see




next was a new screen from Bajaworx which I spaced out at the bottom with some short lengths of oil hose..




and a new 26l Acerbis tank..



I managed to get a leather Corbin seat from ebay    




and some new black fork gaitors..



This is a Scaggs rack from USA, I am very happy with it, it's very well made..



So now it looks like this..

here in Italy there are also few on the streets, but a lot for sale on the internet!!

prices are rising and i am happy to have bought mine at 550 euro
